My Tribute to Angela Maria Missimi Mickey

Ang,
We met over 23 years ago in a little church in Newark Ohio. Josh was 9 and Jenna was 3. I recall many conversations after church ending with, “We should meet for lunch sometime.”  It was 10 years later during our trip to the land of Israel that our friendship was truly born. When we returned from Israel we finally met for lunch and that was the first of countless lunches and meals shared together. Our friendship grew dearer and dearer to me with every passing year and at some point you became a sister to me, the older sister I had always wanted. We became like family! You have been such an important part of my world and I want to thank you ... As you would say so often, “To make a long story short...”
Thank you for... every phone call and conversation.
countless incredible homecooked meals.
every lunch out and for sharing food so we could try new things.
every haircut and color.
ordering the cheesecake in Israel.
every “dinner and a movie night” (poor Bill had to endure the chic flicks).
every Myrtle Beach vacation.
Thank you for sharing your 4 adorable monkeys Jacob, Julia, Audrianna, and Alex with me.
Thank you for sharing your dreams and ideas with me. I can still hear you saying, “Hey Jenara, I got an idea I want to run by you.”
Thank you for introducing me to Ann Taylor, Brios, BonVie, and french press coffee.
Thank you for believing in me and encouraging me. Your words always added courage and confidence to my heart.
Thank you for trusting me and being someone I could trust. I always felt so safe with you.
Thank you for forgiving me when I burned up your rainbow vacuum cleaner. I offered to repair or replace it but you knew that was beyond my budget and wouldn’t hear of it.
Thank you for every birthday gift and celebration (especially #50!)  I remember one year we celebrated in Myrtle Beach and you sang to me in every restaurant all week ... Jacob who was 4 at the time thought I was getting a year older everytime you sang!!
Thank you for always making Christmas so special!! Your sausage gravy is still my favorite!
Thank you for being there and praying for me during one of the most challenging transitions in my life. Your love and support helped me navigate and find peace in the midst of the storm.
Thank you for allowing me to serve you during your journey these past several years.
Thank you for being so genuine and sincere, always willing to listen and share your wisdom without judgement or condemnation. Thank you for always being so understanding!
Thank you for always helping me to see “the other side” and for being so incredibly optimistic about everything.
Thank you for making me laugh when I wanted to cry! Hearing your laugh always made me smile!
Thank you for being such an amazing woman of God...for letting God love you and love through you in simple and ordinary ways yet with such extraordinary grace and selfless sincerity! Whether you were talking to one person or a room full of people, you always spoke honestly and directly from your heart and God used you and your words to add value to others. You truly were a motivational speaker!!!
Angie you are the older sister I always wanted and the best friend I could ever hope for! I love you so much and that will never change. You have simply changed residence. The day you moved to Heaven, Heaven became that much sweeter to me! My heart is saddened by your absence here but I have confidence that because of Jesus Christ we will be reunited again with all of our loved ones who have embraced Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Until that day I will continue to pursue the plan and purpose of God for my life with even greater determination, running my race here on this earth with joy...knowing that you are now in the great cloud of witnesses along with my dad cheering me on...saying, “you go girl!!”

Do You Need A Miracle?

(Reprinted from There Is A Miracle In Your Mouth by John Osteen copyright 1972 published by John Osteen Ministries, Houston, TX)

It will do all of us good to DAILY confess before God His word! Here is a confession I share with you that I have made and do make before Him constantly. I added the scripture references that support each confession.

“I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, THEREFORE I AM SAVED.” [Romans 10:9 & 10]

“If any man be in Christ he is a new creature. Old things have passed away and behold all things have become new.” I am in Christ. I am a NEW CREATURE! Old things have passed away and all things have become new. I am in Christ! I am in Christ! I am a NEW CREATURE! Old things have passed away and all things have become new. [2 Corinthians 5:17]

I have a new Father in heaven! I have new life—everlasting life! I have new citizenship - which is heaven! I have a new sphere. “I have been delivered out of the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of His dear son!” [Colossians 1:13]

“I am accepted in the BELOVED! My name is written in the Lamb’s book of Life." [Philippians 4:3]

I HAVE NEW POWER!

“I have power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over ALL THE POWER of the enemy AND NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT ME! I have power over all devils to cast them out! I can lay hands on the sick and they shall recover! I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ. I can do all things through Christ!” [Luke 10:19 and Mark 16:16-18]

I confess the many benefits of Calvary!

“Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all of His BENEFITS. Who healeth ALL thy diseases. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction. Who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercy; who satisfieth thy mouth with good things that thy strength is renewed. All my sins are forgiven! All my diseases are healed! My life is preserved and strong in God! I am crowned with His mercy!” [Psalm 103:1-5]

I confess I am not afraid!

“Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I WILL FEAR NO EVIL!!! I FEAR NOT for thou art WITH ME. I am not dismayed for thou art my God. Thou art HELPING me! Thou art STRENGTHENING me! Thou art UPHOLDING me with the right hand of thy righteousness!!” [Psalm 23 and Isaiah 41:10]

“Thou hast not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. I have the SPIRIT OF POWER IN ME! I have the SPIRIT OF LOVE IN ME! I have the SPIRIT OF A SOUND MIND IN ME!!” [2 Timothy 1:7]

“Over me is the BLOOD OF THE LAMB! The Lord goeth BEFORE ME! Jesus is IN me! The angel of the Lord encampeth AROUND me! UNDERNEATH me are the everlasting arms of God! AND GOODNESS AND MERCY FOLLOW ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE! Hallelujah! FEAR HAS NO PLACE IN MY LIFE!”

“I confess that this is a good day!”

“I am healed today. I am filled with the love of God today. I am filled with the joy of the Lord TODAY! I am filled with the peace of God today. I am filled with the wisdom of God today. I am filled with the Holy Spirit today. These are mine TODAY!”

“I confess TODAY I will help someone find the grace and mercy of God. I will rejoice today that heaven is my home. I will rejoice today that all my family is coming into the fold of the Lord!"

“This is my confession; I boldly say it in front of the devil, angels, the Lord Jesus, and God my Father. I thank you Father, in Jesus’ name, that I HAVE WHAT I SAY! MY CONFESSION RISES BEFORE THEE BASED UPON THY WORD! Jesus is the High Priest of my confession. He makes it good TODAY.”

My friends boldly make this confession daily and you will discover God keeps His word. The MIRACLE IS IN YOUR MOUTH.
